3D Sticker Lab artwork template (English) v6.2 / 2026-10-15

Start with "01_How-to-use.pdf". Page 1 shows how to use the template; page 2 explains the bleed and safe area for each piece.
For the layout image and the checks before sending, see "03_Layout-image-and-checks.pdf".
The layout image is a flat plan that shows how artwork can be arranged and spaced. Use it as a guide when you place your artwork in the template.

[Files in this pack]
01_How-to-use.pdf: how to use the template and the margins for each piece (2 pages)
02_Place-artwork_90x178mm.svg: editable template for the 90×178 mm sticker area
02_Place-artwork_90x178mm.pdf: the same editable template as a PDF (1 page)
03_Layout-image-and-checks.pdf: layout image and checks before sending (2 pages)

[1 Open]
Open either "02_Place-artwork_90x178mm.svg" or "02_Place-artwork_90x178mm.pdf" in your editing software.
One file is all you need. The how-to guide and the layout image help with the steps and the arrangement.
Both files are set to the 90×178 mm sticker area. Keep the document at 90 mm wide and 178 mm high.
The paper backing is 90×220 mm. This template covers the sticker area, not the paper backing.

[2 Place your artwork]
Keep the finished outline of every piece inside the dotted line (80×168 mm). The outer placement margin is 5 mm.
The piece count follows your artwork sizes and layout. As a layout guide, leave at least 4 mm between pieces, edge to edge.
Where bleed areas overlap, we fine-tune the spacing and shapes for you.
Size of one piece: approx. 10 mm minimum to 30–50 mm maximum as a guide.
Possible sizes depend on shape, thickness and layout. Larger pieces leave room for fewer pieces on the sheet.
In the SVG, add your artwork to the "02_Artwork_place-here" layer. In the PDF, add it to the white working area.
We prepare the cut lines and the white-ink layer (a white base printed under the colours).
The "03_White-ink_prepared-by-us" and "04_Cut-lines_prepared-by-us" layers in the SVG are empty working layers for us.
Use "02_Artwork_place-here" for your artwork; the white-ink and cut-line layers can stay empty when you send the file. If you set up your own print file, we recommend CMYK and text converted to outlines, with any white ink or cut lines on their own named layers.
This pack is a template for showing us your layout. We prepare the final production data.

[Bleed and safe area for each piece]
Extend background colours and images 2 mm outside the cut line of each piece (bleed).
Keep text, logos and other important details at least 1.5 mm inside the cut line (safe area).
These are separate from the 5 mm outer placement margin of the sheet and the 4 mm spacing guide between pieces.
We match the bleed and safe area to the shape of each piece. See page 2 of "01_How-to-use.pdf" for the diagram.

[3 Save and send]
The outer frame and the dotted line are guides. Hide or delete all of them in the file you send.
In the SVG, hide the "01_Guides_hide-before-sending" layer; in the PDF, delete the guide lines.
Lines that are visible when you export stay in the exported file.
Embed images, convert text to outlines if you can, and save as AI, PDF, SVG or a similar format.
For PNG, JPEG or WebP, use at least 300 dpi at the finished size: 1,063×2,103 px or more for the whole sticker area.
Keep a separate copy of your editable working file.

Enquiry form: https://3dstickers.net/#contact
Attach up to 3 PNG, JPEG, WebP or PDF files, 5 MB in total, to the enquiry form.
For AI, SVG, PSD or ZIP files, or anything larger, send a shared link.
Enter the link to your saved files in the "Shared file link" field of the form.
For Google Drive, set general access to "Anyone with the link" (viewer).
You can also reply to the confirmation email with your files attached.

[Artwork rights]
Supply artwork you own or have permission to reproduce. For licensed characters, logos or third-party designs, obtain the rights holder’s permission before production.

[Artwork not finished yet? Talk to us]
Send the images you have, with the sizes and layout you have in mind, through the form.
We will explain how to prepare your files, even before the artwork is complete.
Our design team can also create new artwork, with the scope and fee agreed before work begins.

[How we prepare your files]
RGB and CMYK files are both welcome. Before production we convert your artwork to CMYK and build the final AI file. Very bright or fluorescent RGB colours (hot pinks, neon greens, vivid blues) can look slightly more muted; you review the colours on the physical sample included with your order.
In the final AI file, text is converted to outlines, and the print artwork, white-ink layer (where needed) and cut lines are on separate layers.
You can save the SVG or PDF as an AI file in Illustrator; check the size and layers after opening it.
This pack does not include an AI file. Keep lines at least 0.3 mm thick and corner radii at least 1 mm.
We send proof data for any outline or colour adjustments, and you review the physical sample before the production run.
