Pricing, specifications and minimum quantity
The published JPY prices cover our standard specification with prepared artwork and domestic delivery to up to five addresses in Japan. Each identical sheet design has a minimum production order of 1,000 sheets. Piece count depends on artwork size and layout. Multiple designs, quantities above the published tiers, non-standard specifications and delivery to further addresses in Japan or to Hokkaido, Okinawa and remote islands are quoted individually.
These prices include printing plates, moulds, cut-line and white-ink preparation, a pre-production physical sample, full inspection and individual OPP bags. Design from scratch is an additional service; in our Japan price list it starts at JPY 80,000 before tax, and it is not a mandatory fee when suitable artwork is supplied.
International quotes and additional charges
For delivery outside Japan, your written quote confirms the product specification, country of manufacture, delivery destination, available shipping route, freight, currency and payment conditions. It also identifies applicable tax treatment, import duties, local taxes, clearance charges and which party is responsible for those costs. Additional testing, documentation, special packaging or design work is confirmed before it is commissioned.
As standard, international delivery is DAP: the recipient acts as the importer and pays import duties, import taxes and customs clearance charges. Any other delivery terms are set out in the written quote.
Published domestic prices are not international landed prices. Japan’s domestic consumption-tax rate is not automatically applied to an overseas quote. International delivery or a particular import arrangement is not guaranteed by submitting an enquiry.
The quote states its validity period. Exchange rates, materials or changes to the specification may require a revised quote. Conditions already agreed in an individual quote or contract govern that order.
Payment and the start of work
Standard payment terms for international orders: international bank transfer (SWIFT) in JPY or USD, or PayPal invoice for smaller amounts; 50% on approval of the quote, before moulds and the sample are made, and the balance before shipment. Transfer and intermediary bank fees are paid by the buyer so that the invoiced amount is received in full. Any other arrangement is set out in the quote.
Sending an enquiry does not place an order or authorise a charge. We confirm the quote, specification and any required payment before beginning the relevant work.
Physical samples before production
A pre-production physical sample is included in production orders. The international sample shipping arrangement and review process are confirmed in the quote. The production run follows your approval of the physical sample.
Timing and delivery
We confirm the production and delivery schedule for each order after reviewing the artwork, quantity, destination, proof approval process and payment arrangements. The lead times shown on this website apply to delivery within Japan; your quote adds the international shipping time for your destination.
Production schedules, holidays, weather, shipping and customs clearance can affect timing. International shipping costs, delivery terms and any split shipments must be confirmed in the written quote.
Cancellations
Because these are custom-made products, change-of-mind cancellations, returns and exchanges are not accepted after the production run has started.
Before work on design, moulds or samples starts, we explain the applicable charges and cancellation settlement. If an order is cancelled before the production run starts, approved costs already incurred are settled and any unused advance payment is refunded.
Defects and order discrepancies
The inspection and reporting period, acceptance standard and process for reporting defects are agreed in the international quote before you place an order. Please report defects or differences from the agreed specification within that period, with details that allow us to assess the affected units. Examples may include bubbles, chips, print misalignment or foreign matter below the agreed standard.
The quote also confirms the available remedy for verified defects and responsibility for any return freight or other related charges. Change-of-mind returns or exchanges are not accepted for custom-made products.
Artwork rights and destination requirements
You must own or have permission to reproduce the artwork supplied. Obtain the rights holder’s permission for existing characters, logos and other third-party designs before production.
Please tell us the intended use, audience age group and sales destination. Any product testing, certification or documentation required for your market is specified by you and quoted before production. Information intended for users in your market (contact details, warnings and safety information in the language of the country of sale, and sorting instructions) is supplied by you; it can be printed on the back of the paper backing, as shown in the approved proof.
